Chikankari Embroidery · Tussar Silk Kurta Set
Chikankari was born in the courts of Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula in eighteenth-century Lucknow — a shadow embroidery so delicate it was said to be 'work done by moonlight'. On this kurta set, master Chikankari artisans from the old city have worked for 18 days on pure Tussar Silk, using six traditional stitches: tepchi, bakhiya, murri, phanda, jaali, and khatao. The result is a garment of such refinement that its embroidery is visible only against a light source. Your piece arrives with a Court Code (PSH-LKW-00X) and documentation of the artisan's name, their workshop in old Lucknow, and the day the embroidery was completed.
FabricPure Tussar Silk — hand-spun, naturally textured, with an ivory ground. Kurta (46 inches) + matching Palazzo pants. Blouse included.
